American Fox Hound
Much like the other foxhounds. A great pet that is loyal, a good watchdog,
and great with children. As these dogs get older they tend to be less attentive
to their master's requests.
According to well-known authorities on the
American Foxhound, the first mention
that we have of hound importations to America appears in a diary of one of
De Soto's retainers. It is further mentioned that hounds were used to hunt
Indians instead of foxes and hare.
Height- males, 23-24 inches; bitches, 21-24 inches.
