Dear Aquariaman, I have a little one gallon bowl with colored rock and bought one bottomsucker. This fish has been in the tank for one week. Seems happy. Moves around. I have fed him goldfish food, very little, once a day. How do I care for him and change the water? Thank-you, Tom
Dear Tom, A Bottomsucker can be many different things. Your fish will probably enjoy food that is in pellet form. I suggest you go to a local pet store and tell them your situation. They will suggest a good food for you. Probably a spirulina or brine shrimp based pellet. In regard to water changes, you should change the water once each week for the first six weeks. After that, change your water (50% each time) once every two weeks. Depending on what type of fish you have, he may outgrow your bowl very quickly. I hope this answers your questions. Happy fishkeeping! Aquariaman |
