The colors include green, yellow, and blue, with variations of cinnamon, gray and fallow.
Budgerigars will breed in a cage or in an aviary. Sometimes they will fight over nesting boxes, so if you have many budgies, make sure there are plenty of nesting boxes for them. More boxes than mating pairs is recommended. If you leave the nesting boxes in year round, and do not separate the mating pair, some couples will have babies all year long.
Incubation for budgie eggs is 17 days, and they lay between 3-12 eggs.
Cockatiels and weavers share a cage or aviary well with budgies.
