English Bulldog Breed
To the best of our knowledge the Bulldog had it's origins in the British Isles, the name bull being applied because of the dog's use in connection with bull-baiting. Though massive in body, all of the aggressiveness that once was this dogs trademark has been bred out of him, yet needs strict training. Now he is docile, sleeps a lot, and makes a fine family pet. Early obedience training is needed. Does well in an apartment with little or no yard but should be exercised daily for at least a half an hour.
Bulldog Health Grooming- once a week brushing. Frequent cleaning around the muzzle area is needed. Coat- short and soft. Colors- all colors and mixes except black; the most common are red brindle, brindle, fawn, and white. Weight- 40 to 50 pounds. Height- 14 to 16 inches Luife span- up to 10 years. Cost- Averages $30.00 a month.
