Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

The Cavalier Spaniel was named for king Charles II of England during the 17th century, it was popular in the king's court. He was also used for hunting small game.

This dog is a favorite in England because of its sweet, gentle disposition. He likes most folks, including kids, and is definitely a family member and shows his appreciation for being included with kisses.

'Once a lap dog always a lap dog' is this dog's motto. He also enjoys the 'good ole' days' of walking in the woods to 'point' birds and other small animals.

Grooming- he needs to be  combed and brushed weekly especially after outdoor excursions in the woods.

Coat type- moderately long, soft, silky and wavy.

Color- solid red, black with tan marking, chestnut on a white background, black on a white background with tan markings.

Weight- up to 20 pounds.

Height- up to 14 inches.

Life span- up to 15 years.
