The Collie dog breed was developed (17th-18th cent.) in Scotland as a sheepdog. A devoted family dog that does great with children. A large, strong, agile working dog with a shoulder height of 22-26 in. (55.9-66 cm); weight, 50-75 lb (22.7-34 kg). Coat - there are two types: the rough-coated (long-haired) and the smooth-coated.
Color - both may be sable and white, blue, tri-colored, or white.
