Corn Snake

Corn Snakes, also called rat snakes, are good climbers and would like a tree in their cage.

Their diets consist of field mice, rats, lizards, and birds. Separate your snakes when feeding them.

As for lighting, if there is no natural light available 8 to 10 hours of articficial light should be provided.

Heating should be provided. These snakes feel comfortable at 72 to 80 degrees F (22-28 degrees C ) during the day and 64-68 degrees F (5-15 degrees C) at night.

Corn snakes should be allowed to hibernate at reduced temperatures of 41 to 59 degrees F (5-15 degrees C) for about 2 to 3 of the winter months.

Most corn snakes are nocturnal.
