Coton
De Tulear Breed Of Dog
Thought to have come from the Bichon Frise type of dogs, the Europeans brought it to Madagascar during the 16th century. The word Tulear is the name of the Madagascar port and the word Coton is French for the English word cotton. The Coton De Tulear is a very agreeable dog that loves other animals, kids, and strangers. He is loveable, gentle, has a great disposition, darn smart, and loves daily walks. Grooming- brushed often is our suggestion. Coat type- very fine, wavy and like its name, cottony. Color- white overall with a champagne head, or black and white. Weight- up to 15 pounds. Height- 10 to 12 inches. Life span- up to 14 years.
