Weimaraner Dogs

Ancestor to the bloodhound, this dog's history is young ,dating back only to the nineteenth century. The Weimaraner that we know today is the product of very selective breeding and first appeared in the United States in 1929. Originally used for big game hunting, then bird hunting, the dog became more of a personal companion to the hunter.

Medium size, gray in color. Known for his speed, stamina, and graceful and alert. He is friendly, fearless, and obedient. He is not happy when kept in a kennel. He is accustomed to being a member of the family and he accepts the responsibilities which that entails.

Height - 25 to 27 inches. Weight - 65 to 85 pounds.

Coat types - Short and smooth. Silver-grey, grey. Needs grooming once a month

Costs - averages $30.00 a month.
