Native to West Africa: southeastern Nigeria and southwestern Cameroon. The fish itself varies considerably in color, only showing its best in old water in a well-planted aquarium, in not too much light. Live food is important to it. Like the other Aphyosemion the parents should be conditioned on live foods before placing them in a breeding tank. Not a seasonal killifish. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium requiring skilled handling. Feeds on worms, crustaceans and insects. Water, pH range: 6.0 - 6.5; dH range: 1.0 - 6.0. More Fish and Aquaria Information Here
