Distichodus Sexfasciatus

Species Information

Native to Central Africa: middle and lower Congo River in Dem. Rep. Congo. Also in Lake Tanganyika.

This herbivore can grow to 10 inches in length and requires a tight-fitting tank hood because this fish loves to fly.

Feeds on worms, crustaceans, insects and plant matter.

Water, pH range: 6.0 - 7.5; dH range: 10.0 - 20.0
