Characin: Micralestes spilopterus

Native to Central Africa: Congo basin, Chad, Ituri. Also present in Tanzania.

These African Tetras make a good addition to the community tank. They enjoy a large tank and a current to swim against.

Water, pH range: 6.0 - 7.6; dH range: 18.0 - 25.0
