Species Information

Synodontis nigriventris

Native to the Central Congo basin, as with many catfishes they tend to be nocturnal. This one is peaceful and loves the underside of a flat stone in which to hide.

Easily fed, it tends to feed at night on plant matter, insects, and crustaceans.

Water temperatures of 74-80 degrees.
