|||||||||||||||||||||
Native to Asia: Thailand (Ref. 4537) to Sumatra, Indonesia. For some reason this fish is not as popular with most aquarist as some of the other fishes. There are two body shapes for the Rasbora, long and slim and a much deeper-bodied fish. They are mainly insectivores but take flake foods, worms, and crustaceans nicely. They love a varied diet, especially when breeding. Live and frozen food can be introduced. Water, pH range: 5.0 - 7.0; dH range: 5.0 - 12.0, temperatures 72-78 degrees.
