Native to South America: Brazil. Known as the Red Rivulus and Blue Rivulus. There are two distinct color varieties of this species, so different that it is difficult to realize that they are the same fish. This species in any color is hardy and can stand temperatures ranging from 65 to 85 degrees. Breeding at about 75 degrees. They are inclined to be cannibals with their young. Length, 2 1/2 inches.
