The Jamthund closely resembles
his more popular relative the Norwegian Elkhound. The major difference
between the two is the Jamthund being taller and heavier. It is said the Jamthund's origin is that of a hunter of bear in Norway. More often the
books regarding the history of this this dog will show him hunting moose
