In the 1950's the Soviet dog breeders produced
the Moscow Watchdog
.  This dog is a crossbreed of the Caucasian Ovtcharka with it's watchful and assertive traits, and the Saint Bernard for it's size.

This dog is big-boned but not clumsy. He has a massive head and powerful legs.  He is well developed in body and mind and is a good companion and watchdog. His temperament is fine if brought up properly.  No dogs are known outside Russia.

Height - 25 to 27 inches (64 to 69 cm). Weight - 100 to 150 pounds (45 to 68 kg).

Coat type - thick with fringing and of moderate length. Color - always red and white.
