Talking Mynah Bird Breed |
It's extraordinary talents as an imitator make this bird one of the most interesting of all cage birds. It mimics human speech as skillfully as it can sing melodies it has heard. This bird comes in eleven sub-species, whose lengths vary from nine and one half inches to twelve inches. Some Mynahs live in pairs, while others in flocks of twenty to thirty birds. These birds are native to Ceylon and India, many live as far away as Indonesia. It builds it's nest in tree holes or nesting m-holes abandoned by woodpeckers. The nest usually contains two eggs. Food: Pet stores have packaged soft food, meal-worms, raw meat, and fruit. It's habits are not very tidy.
