Boa Constrictor
Boa Constrictor Information
This snake can reach lengths of 10 to 161/2 feet. Even though this snake
is generally peaceful and not prone to bite, it is not a good choice for
the beginner .
The strong triangular head is the pronounced feature of this
snake. There are many colors among the subspecies and among individual snakes
colors range from reddish brown and gray to yellowish, orange and sometimes
dark brown.
Temps in the terrarium varies with a cool spot at 72 degrees
to the warmer corner at 95 degrees. A slight temp change should occur in
the evening hours. A water basin should be provided along with tree limbs.
Food consists of live mice, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens and pigeons.
